Nina's bouquet
This is Nina's bouquet . it still needs ribbon so that is why it is in a vase . it is really hard to make hand crochet roses stay where you want them to . i found some beautiful austrelian crystal picks to put in it to give it that shine and sparkle . there are also blue gems on the white roses as well . I'm still working on the bridesmaid bouquets but making good progress . i have lots more that we have done I just need to find the time to post everything . it is crunch time

Cardbox
This is the start of the cardbox , I had an old cardboard box that had a lid that goes on top so I turned it upside down and cut the hole for the cards on the bottom of the box , this is the box after i glued some batting on with spray adhesive , it was what I had handy to cover the writing on the box and it worked really well actually
this is the box after I cut some fabric that I found in a remnant bin at wal mart an entire bolt for five bucks I couldn't pass it up , the original plan was to make the box blue satin to match the ring pillow but things dont always work the way you want them to , especially with crafts , anyway I c ut the top piece first and made the opening for the cards and wrapped the fabric around and glues it in place , I am sorry for how crooked it is but I figure nobody will be noticeing that I hope , next i made the side one continuouse piece , I was trying to not have to many places where the box might show , I stuck the pieces to the batting with you guessed it more spray adhessive
after the fabric was good and set i sewed some lace along the edge of some satin blanket binding that I had left over from a quilt , then I hot glued the binding to the box thinking I could hide the spot where the fabric pieces did not meet , it kind of worked but not enough so then I found some plastic pearl beads that I have had for who knows how long , I hot glued the beads along the top edge of the box to hide the gap , this time it worked pretty well , then I hot glued some bows around the top to give the box at least a little of the light blue that has been in everything so far , I wanted to have cards written on the box I dont know why since I'm sure people would figure that out on their own , so i printed the word cards out on a piece of card stock with a cute background , after that I traced an oval shape around the word cards , it worked pretty well , then I glued it to the top above the slot , after all that something was missing so I set the cardbox inside the part that used to be the lid and glued the same fabic to it again to hide the writing , then to make it more finished I hot glued and rose garland around the bottom and thats it , I bet the entire project didn't cost me even ten bucks , the reason I wanted to make one is because it really ticked me off how much they charge for one in the stores , what a rip off , and they are all so plain

this weekends project well one of them
this is going to be part of the center pieces . I printe d the monogram for the wedding on cheap vellum that I got from office max for 6 bucks for 50 sheets . I found the pattern for the lampshade by doing a google search . we cut the shade out of the vellum then glued the ends . I found 6 plastic wine glasses at the dollar store and even a package of battery powered candles . we put the candle inside the glass and set the shade on top . it really glows just like a real candle . the lamp will be set on a round mirror and we are going to set blue glass pieces ( also from the dollar stare ) around the mirror . this is one of my favorite projects so far

Ring pillow
this is my second project . I am going to make the ring pillow and the flower girl basket and guest book to match . when I have the basket and book done I will post some pictures
My very first project for the wedding
My first project for the wedding was crocheting six shrugs for the bridesmaides . as you can tell this is the fromt
and as you can see this is the back . now I know this is kind of an un usual l thing to do for a bridesmaid dress but at first the date was in September but because the bride and groom have family that can only come on the new date now the wedding is in August . so girls you might just have to take them off after the ceramony . one thing about it nobody else will have the very same dresses as Ninas girls do and that has kind of been the theme for her wedding is having things be unique for her
